Spire Healthcare Montefiore HospitalThe ambition of this exciting and technically demanding scheme was a to give a third lease of life to an empty Victorian building. The locally listed neo-classical building was constructed in the 1890s, extended in the 1930s and then remodeled in the 1970s and converted to offices.
Vacated in 2005, it sat empty until permission was granted to turn it into a boutique hotel-style private hospital. With the calming contemporary feel of the interior design, Flourish was employed to add functional but stylish furniture throughout the hospital areas including; Outpatients, 8 consult/exam and 2 treatment rooms, chemotherapy, diagnostics, MRI, CT scanner, 2 x-ray rooms, 2 ultra sound rooms, inpatient ward, 21 private en-suite bedrooms, day surgery unit, 3 laminar flow theatres, endoscopy unit and the entrance, which has been likened to that of a high class hotel. |
