Kent Institute of Medicine and SurgeryAfter over five years of planning and working closely with the founders, architects and contractors, KIMS, a £95 million, seven-acre hospital development, started admitting patients in April 2014.
KIMS is a modern, purpose built, 'one stop' hospital facility. KIMS offers 74 dedicated in patient beds, including seven chemotherapy rooms, plus a further 20 day care beds, seven intensive therapy unit beds and high dependency beds. The hospital has one of the largest cardiology departments in the UK, and is the only institute in the country to carry out open-heart surgery. |
